On May 9th, 2009, I attended the 5th Annual Jon’s Run Event hosted by Any Baby Can. The event was at Brackenridge Park in San Antonio, TX and had both an adult and childrens run. Jon’s Run is an event that helps raise money for the research and cure of SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome). At the beginning of the event, parents could write a note to the child they lost and attach it to a baloon. Then we released the balloons in the air and the moment was breathtaking, to say the least. After the balloon release, I helped pass out water to the runners in the race, but my favorite part of the whole event had to have been the people I met.
