On October 21, 2009, I attended the Ed White Middle School pep rally. The pep rally was in the school auditorium and celebrated Red Ribbon Week. For anyone who is unaware, Red Ribbon Week is a week in school where the students learn to “Just Say No” to drugs and alcohol. I was asked to attend and speak to the 7th grade on this important topic. In hopes of reaching the kids on a more personal level, I spoke about my experiences as a child saying no to drugs; and also the day to day effects I see working at my Fathers law firm, that drugs and alcohol have on individuals. I am honored to have been asked and hope to go back again next year to promote a drug free future.
