I get it a lot. On a very regular basis now that … well, now that I’ve grown into the curves I was destined to have one day. Ever since Kim Kardashian became famous for … what is she famous for again? Well ever since then, I get this more often. I’ve learned to just accept it, but people always wonder why I’m not overly joyed and filled with excitement when someone tells me this. So let me just put all the cards out on the table.

Kim Kardashian’s ex husband is my ex boyfriend. Before she was famous and known just as “Paris Hilton’s friend,” I knew her as his ex and solely as that. The one time I had any interaction with her it was not very mature in my opinion and that’s all I’ll say about that.

To be fair and always see the positive in everything I think it’s great she has made such a name out of herself and her family. However, I don’t agree with it and that’s just my opinion. I do not like that she claims to be 100% natural when I know she is not. I do not think she is a good role model to young women. I think the comments she made about our ex abusing her were reckless and I saw no reason for it other than the need for additional media attention. No one came out a better person from it.

So while yes she may be a beautiful woman and I will not deny that, I honestly do not care for it when people say I look like her. I will smile and nod and say thank you graciously, but nothing she does will ever change my opinion of her. I wish her and her family the best, but I hope the fame and fortune they long for does not break them and ruin their relationships. Maybe one day she will change everyone’s opinion of her and become an Angelina Jolie type that uses her fame in a more positive and respectful way to help others. One can only hope.
