This Saturday (February 20, 2010), I am happy to help the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation Lone Star Chapter celebrate their 25th Annual Tower Climb and Run event at the Tower of Americas.  The goal is to raise money and awareness about cystic fibrosis. I will be a celebrity guest and volunteering at the event in my sash and crown.

Check-in and timing chip pick-up will begin at 6:30 A.M. At 7:30 A.M. the San Antonio Fire Department (SAFD) and the non-competitive runners and climbers will go. Then starting at 8:00 A.M. the competitive runners and climbers will go and this group will set off in waves allowing 15 minute intervals for each wave of participant.

This annual event raises money and awareness about Cystic Fibrosis, an incurable genetic lung disease affecting about 30,000 children and adults in the United States and 70,000 world-wide.
