I was blessed to have been a presenter at the event. The evening was filled with 7 extremely inspiring Hispanics, who each told stories of determination, hard work and faith. My parents were able to come with me, so it made it that much more special.  Thank you to everyone who attended; and best of luck to each of the recipients of the scholarships the Hispanic Sports Foundation for Education provided.

The banquet will be at the Omni Hotel with the reception starting at 6pm, and is sponsored by the Hispanic Sports Foundation for Education, Inc.

This years class will include Alex Briseño, former San Antonio city manager; retired Army Brig. Gen. Belisario J. Flores; Juliet Villarreal Garcia, president of the University of Texas-Brownsville; and Rita Vidaurri, an international singer and recording artist.
